DESTINATION WEDDING PORTFOLIO WORKSHOP CROATIA 2021
Here at Destination Weddings Croatia, we really love writing about various workshops and styled shoots that take place in our beautiful country each year. We love nothing more when a group of wedding industry professionals join their forces to create a unique design and showcase what they can do while also promoting the beauties of the destination. Today, we bring you a story of a destination wedding photography workshop, that took place recently and had the most beautiful colour palette. Scroll down for the amazing photos!
Originally from Germany, Ebru & Ugur are a husband & wife duo and wedding storytellers. They describe their photography style as natural, emotional and lively. As a part of their Destination Wedding Portfolio Workshop, they decided to organise a workshop in Croatia in October 2021. It was not a technical workshop as such, but it was rather imagined as a provision of different paintings and set up for the participants to capture. The workshop was open to international students and the majority of them came from Germany, with one participant coming from France.
Croatia, and specifically the seaside town of Zadar was chosen to differentiate this workshop from the workshops offered in Germany. Located in the north of Dalmatia, Zadar offers a variety of beautiful and romantic locations for staging a wedding styled shoot. Whether it’s pictures in the old town with its unique architectural gates or on the Dalmatian coast, Zadar offers many possibilities. The participants were able to participate in multiple photo sessions and they really enjoyed them.
A charming house was found by the organizers to accommodate the participants during the 3-day course. The garden and the private terrace by the pool allowed for the organization of different spaces to recreate a table setting and a ceremony setup. The year 2021 was marked by a two-tone Pantone colour of the year, so the designers decided to use these colours for the entire styled shoot. Fortunately, these are also the organizers favourite colours, so therefore they were very much in agreement and delighted with this choice.
Frano and Irena are professional models who have known each other since childhood, which made them the perfect models for this intimate styled shoot and workshop. Agentur Traumhochzeit from Düsseldorf are wedding planner who plan destination weddings in Croatia on a regular basis, hence they were the perfect choice to assist with the planning of this workshop. The majority of vendors included in the workshop were from Germany and, in combination with local models, it made a very successful European workshop for wedding photographers.
