Istria region on the norther part of the Croatian coastline is a truly magical place, and this Venue of the Week will show you why. Nestled atop a hill overlooking centuries old vineyards, this charming baroque castle from the 16th century has served many functions; as a prison, bank, post office and most recently a restaurant and a beautiful wedding venue. We are sure you will fall in love with Castle Belaj, same as we have.

Besides being a historical venue with amazing views, Castle Belaj is the home to aging wines from their own Castle Belaj line, as well as the wines from Podrum Belaj line, all of which are produced on the estate.
There are three locations on the estate where events can take place: the restaurant area that can accommodate up to 35 guests, the eastern castle annex which has 200 seating places (or 150 with a dancefloor) or a lovely outdoor option that is the lawn behind the castle which can accommodate up to 200 guests and a dancefloor.
