VENUE OF THE WEEK: MAŠKOVIĆA HAN

“Where the Orient meets the Mediterranean.”

We simply adore historical wedding venues! There is just something very special about saying “I do” to the love of your life in a place that breathes history. This way, the story of your special day becomes a part of the overall history of the place, adding up to all the stories that came before.

Our Venue of the Week is one of those special places. Built in the Middle Ages by 500 workers that worked on it every day (historical fact!) and recently restored to its full glory, it now houses a hotel, a restaurant and a museum. Maškovića Han also makes for a gorgeous wedding venue!

Maškovića Han

Inspired by rich tradition and customs, ideal for small intimate weddings

The construction of Maškovića Han began in 1644 by order and funds of Jusuf Mašković, a high dignitary at the sultan’s court and the supreme admiral of the Turkish fleet. Han was supposed to be the mansion / residence of Mašković himself when he returned from Constantinople to his homeland. It is designed as a luxurious monumental and modern building that would have all the necessary comfort, including a Turkish bath – hammam. Within the residence there are 14 double rooms (10 rooms with double bed and 4 rooms with twin beds – twin beds) and 2 deluxe apartments.

If you are looking for a wedding venue that will remain in special memory not only of you but also of all your guests, then you are in the right place. Hotel Maškovića Han has an unusual, unique and beautiful ambience to celebrate the most beautiful day of your life, ideal for smaller intimate weddings. The restaurant accommodates up to 50 wedding guests and the atrium up to 150.  The whole space is privatized only for you and your guests and the excellent gastronomic offer completes the overall impression.
