CASTLE BELAJ
Often referred to as the ‘White House of Istria’, Castle Belaj dates back to the 16th century. Its winery is documented for 600 years and it has one of the oldest terroirs in this region. This hidden gem is positioned in central Istria on a small hilltop overlooking endless vineyards from all sides.
There are multiple locations on the estate where events can take place, but possibly the most picturesque one and the one that opens looks on the vineyards is the charming, green lawn spot. It is located behind the castle which can accommodate up to 200 guests and a dancefloor.
When it comes to food offerings, as most authentic Istrian venues, they do focus on local ingredients but are happy to personalize the menus to your preferences. Their various wine labels, that meet almost all palettes, will surely not disappoint you either. Belaj’s delightful Istrian approach, wines made from indigenous grape varieties, and the nature surroundings all make for a unique experience.
Although slightly isolated, this vineyard wedding venue is truly a distinctive one and deserves all the praise. It gives a genuine Istrian feel that ultimately leaves almost everyone with the most special memories about a place where nature meets history.

BIBICH BAS DE BAS
At this beautiful location, in the untouched nature of the same-named iconic six-hectare vineyard, two old vineyard houses were rebuilt. Bas de Bas vineyard is planted with varieties Syrah, Merlot and Sauvignon blanc and gives one of the best Croatian wines – Bas de Bas. Vineyards are grown ecologically and the houses are self-sustainable.
The villas are available to hire for exclusive use, kitchens are fully equipped and the pool option certainly adds value to the entire experience for the ones staying overnight. However, they do not have a restaurant on the premises so you will need to organize the food menu from an outside caterer. As their team is already very familiar with weddings, they will be happy to help you pair your tastes with the perfect wine and your chosen wedding meal. Be sure to go for their award winning labels.
The incredible open space at Bibich looks very well planned out because not only does it allow accommodating large parties but also creates a serene feeling with lots of space for the guests to mingle. Oh, and don’t forget those panoramic views!

MENEGHETTI WINE HOTEL & WINERY
This impressive property is what we like to describe as “conveniently dislocated” in nature and off the beaten path, just a couple of kilometres away from its nearest town Bale, and about a half an hour drive from Rovinj.
